DUSHANBE, February 17, 2010, Asia-Plus — In January 2010, all types transportation shipped more than 3.779 million tons of cargo, which was 1.2 percent more than in January 2009, according to the State Committee for Statistics.
Automotive transportation shipped 2.3749 million tons of cargo over the report period.
759,700 tons of cargo were shipped by rail transportation last month, which was only 67.8 percent of the January 2009 level.
In the meantime, 171 ton of cargo were shipped by air over the report period, which was 48.7 percent more than in January 2009.
