Panjakent resident detained for drug pushing

KHUJAND, February 20, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The 26-year-old resident of Sughd’s Panjakent district, Shohin Nabiyev, has been detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.

According to the Sughd police directorate, Shohin Nabiyev was detained in the city of Chkalovsk on February 19 and package containing 2.162 kilograms of hashish was confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have bee instituted against Nabiyev under the provisions of Article 200, part 3 (illicit drug trafficking) and an investigation is under way
