New Indian envoy to Tajikistan appointed

DUSHANBE, July 9, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Mr. Asith Kumar Bhattacharjee has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Tajikistan in succession to Mr. Amar Sinha, according to the Indian embassy in Dushanbe.

Mr. Asith Kumar Bhattacharjee, who had previously served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs headquarters in New Delhi, is expected to take up his assignment shortly.
