KHUJAND, July 9, 2010, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon who is currently on a working visit to Sughd province has inaugurated the cultural and consumer services center, Sadbarg, in the city of Istaravshan today.
Construction of the complex began in 2005 and more than 800,000 somoni were spent for implementation of the project.
The complex includes a three-star hotel for 18 persons, restaurant with 120 seats, kindergarten to accommodate 50 children, a series of shops, Internet-café, fitness club, sauna, dry-cleaner’s, as well as sewing and confectionary-producing workshops.
The center will create 150 new jobs for local residents.
During his stay in Istaravshan, President Rahmon will also attend an official ceremony of opening of a new school building in the village of Nayman.
Built by the village residents due to financial support from local entrepreneurs, the school is provided with all necessary education equipment and computers. 750,000 somoni were used for construction of this school.
