DUSHANBE, August 18, 2010, Asia-Plus — Cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the sphere of banking and finance was a major topic of a meeting of Finance Minister Safarali Najmiddinov with Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Fan Xianrong that took place here yesterday, according to the Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat.
Najmiddinov and Fan exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral financial cooperation between Tajikistan and China as well as bilateral cooperation in the energy, agrarian and social sectors.
A special attention was paid to implementation of joint transportation and road-building projects and the sides underlined the significance of construction of roads connecting Tajikistan and China, the source said.
