DUSHANBE, August 23, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) have uncovered a criminal group dealing with transporting narcotics to Russia, according to the DCA press service.

A 19-year-old student from of one of Dushanbe’s universities, T.B, was detained at the Dushanbe airport Sunday evening on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing during inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Moscow flight.

T.B. was discovered to have ingested 55 wraps of substances proved to be heroin weighing 463 grams, the source said.

Operation by drug control officers has led to the arrest of three other accomplices to this crime, including a 45-year-old woman, who had two previous convictions for drug pushing.
