DUSHANBE, August 25, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tuesday afternoon, President Emomali Rahmon visited the city of Sarband in Khatlon province.

According to presidential press service, Rahmon attended an official opening of cement plant and flour mill in the city.

The cement plant that operates on local raw materials has created 80 new jobs for local residents.  A total cost of the project is 12.6 million somoni.

The Sarband flour mill has the capacity of producing some 80 tons of wheat flour per day.
