DUSHANBE, September 29, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A 40-year-old woman from Dushanbe has been detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press service.

When searching her apartment, the drug control officers found four packages of narcotic drug that was tested positive to heroin weighing 3.822 kilograms.  She prepared the heroin for transporting to Russia, the source said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler under the provisions Article 200 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – large-scale drug trafficking, and an investigation is under way.
