Kulob farmers fulfill their cotton target

KULOB, October 21, 2010, Asia-Plus  — By October 20, five cotton producing districts n the Kulob zone of Khatlon province have yielded 51,863 tons of raw cotton, which is 432 tons more than it was originally planned, Abdullo Rajabov, a leading specialist wit the Kulob agriculture department, said.

According to him, Farkhor Hamadoni, Danghara and Kulob districts have fulfilled their cotton targets and are continuing to gather cotton in addition to their obligation.  “Only Vose district has to gather another 187 tons of cotton in order to fulfill its target,” Rajabov said.
