Tajik-Belarusian economic cooperation commission meets in Minsk

DUSHANBE, October 21, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The seventh meeting of the Tajik-Belarusian commission for trade and economic cooperation has opened in Minsk, Belarus today.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the meeting is expected to discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus in the field of energy, delivery of Belarusian engineering and farm produce to Tajikistan, etc.

Consultations between MFAs of the countries will take place in Minsk on sidelines of the Tajik-Belarusian economic commission meeting, Davlat Nazriyev, a spokesman for the Tajik MFA said.  “The consultations are expected to result in signing of the plan of cooperation between the MFAs of Tajikistan and Belarus for 2011-2012,” Nazriyev said, noting that the Tajik delegation is led by deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmoudjon Sobirov.
