DUSHANBE, April 27, 2011, Asia-Plus — Under the decision made by Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev free concerts dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence will be held in the Tajik capital every day beginning on May 1.
The decision is made in line with implementation of president’s instructions on enhancement of cultural environment and organization of cultural leisure time, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said. According to him, the concerts will start after 6:00 pm.
“Organized by the Dushanbe municipal government in cooperation with the committee for TV and radio-broadcasting and the ministry of culture, the concerts with participation of known Tajik artistes and poetry parties will be held in all districts of the city,” said the spokesman, “The concerts will be held in the Friendship of Peoples’ Square, Public Garden named after Alexander Mironenko, 800th Anniversary of Moscow Square and Park named after Sadriddin Ayni.”
Besides, to improve the capital city subbotniks (day of volunteer work) will be held on Saturdays beginning on April 30, Saidov said.
