DUSHANBE, August 24, 2011, Asia-Plus — The Association of Producers and Distributors of Radio and TV Programs has been established in Tajikistan.
According to the National Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit), the new journalism organization aims to protect interests of radio and television organizations and audio/video production studios.
The source at the media watchdog says the new association has been founded by TV SMT, TV Regar, TV Mavji Ozod (Vose district), TV 5 (Konibodom), TV Simo (Panjakent), Independent TV and Radio Station of Qurghon Teppa and Oriyonomedia. The founding meeting took place on August 23.
