DUSHANBE, September 14, 2011, Asia-Plus — Construction of a cement plant with annual capacity of 1 million tons of cement will officially commence in Yovon district, Khatlon province tomorrow.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI), an estimated budget for implementation of this project is 100 million U.S. dollars. “Tajik-Chinese joint venture, Huaxin Gayur Cement, will construct the plant,” the source at a MoEI said.
They will use the latest technologies to build the plant and it will meet regional environmental requirements, he added.
