DUSHANBE, December 15, 2011, Asia-Plus — Two separate telephone terrorists phoned police in Moscow and Dushanbe yesterday and said that there is a “bomb” aboard a plane.
According to Russian media outlets, unknown person phoned police on Wednesday and said that there is a “bomb” aboard a plane. He did not give the flight number.
At that moment, there was only one plane en route to Moscow. This flight from Dushanbe to Moscow was operated by Utair.
Upon landing at the airport, the plane was driven to a separate lot, where it was thoroughly checked by experts with specially trained dogs, Interfax reports.
A bomb threat proved to be false and police officers established the telephone terrorist soon. He proved to be an insane man from Novosibirsk.
Meanwhile, Dushanbe police also received a phone call yesterday that there is a “bomb” aboard of the plane of Tajik Air operating flight to Moscow. The flight was delayed and the plane was thoroughly checked by specialists. No bomb was found.
Officers from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) are currently engaged in establishing the telephone terrorist. The SCNS does not refute this information but its representatives refuse to comment on this incident.
