DUSHANBE, January 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — A deputy commander of one of military units of the Committee for Emergency Situation (CES) deployed in Sughd province has been arrested in the Bobojonghafurov district on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, an official source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

A package of narcotic drug that tested positive to cannabis weighing some 4.5 kilograms was confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way, the source said.
