DUSHANBE, February 16, 2012, Asia-Plus – Tajik Ambassador to Ukraine Shuhrat Sultonov met in Kyiv yesterday with Anatoly Kinakh, Head of Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

In the course of the talks, Sultonov and Kinakh reportedly discussed issues related to bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine and establishment of ties between industrial enterprises of the two countries.

Tajik diplomat, in particular, pointed to the significance of implementation of agreements reached during President Rahmon’s official visit to Ukraine in December 2011, the source said.

Anatoly Kinakh is a Ukrainian politician and honorary professor at the Mykolaiv Government Humanitarian University.  Kinakh is a People”s Deputy of Ukraine in the 6th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament.  Kinakh currently serves as the leader of Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine.  Previously, Kinakh was a Prime Minister from 2001 to 2002 under President Leonid Kuchma, a first vice-Prime Minister, and a Minister of Economics of Ukraine.
