DUSHANBE, March 6, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Three people were killed and another person was critically injured in a Tuesday apartment fire.

According to the Dushanbe fire department, the fire happened in an apartment type dormitory of the Ministry of Culture (MoC) at about 8:56 am.  The Mirzo Qayumov family lived in that apartment.

“Mirzo Qayumov was out of apartment when the fire broke out,” said the source.  “His wife Bunafsha Mirzoyeva, 34, and two sons – Safar, 6, and Komron, 10 – were killed by the fire, while their 12-year-old son Davron with serious burn injuries was taken to the hospital.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
