DUSHANBE, March 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — This year, President Emomali Rahmon will hold a traditional meeting with representatives of the intelligentsia on the occasion of the Navrouz holiday on March 20.

A well-informed source in the government says the meeting will take place in the new building of the National Public Library of Tajikistan.

The final works on putting the building in commission are nearing completion.  Last Saturday, President Emomali Rahmon participated in an action of planting trees around the library building, the Ismoili Somoni Monument, the Palace of Nation building and the building of the new National Museum of Tajikistan.

We will recall that last year, the president met with representatives of the intelligentsia on occasion of the Navrouz holiday on March 19.  Addressing the meeting, the president called on the country’s intelligentsia to use all their opportunities to raise educational level of the population and promote improving living conditions in the country.  He noted that the necessary awareness rate and high level of education and self-consciousness were among the key factors contributing to national unity and solidarity.
