DUSHANBE, March 14, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday March 13, Safiallo Devonayev, Head of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, met here with Agibay Smagulov, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, the Migration Service press center reports.

In the course of the talks, Devonayev reportedly briefed Kazakh diplomat on activities of Tajik migration service agency, long-term plan of actions and plans of labor migration cooperation with Kazakhstan, which is one of destination countries for Tajik migrant workers.

The two also discussed issues related to opening of the representative office of Tajikistan’s Migration Service in Kazakhstan and a number of problems concerning registration of Tajik nationals in Kazakhstan.  At present Tajik nationals may stay in Kazakhstan without appropriate registration for a month.

The sides also considered the possibility of setting up a working commission for implementation of the signed agreements between the two countries on labor migration and training of Tajik nationals at vocational-and-technical schools in Kazakhstan, the source said.
