KONIBODOM, April 7, 2012, Asia-Plus — The cotton sowing campaign is progressing in the northern Konibodom district due to favorable weather conditions, the Konibodom agriculture department head Kholmatjon Rahmonov told Asia-Plus on Saturday.
According to him, they have made proper preparations for the spring sowing campaign and stored enough amounts of seeds, fertilizers and fuels.
7,900 hectares have been allotted to cotton cultivation in Konibodom this year, Rahmonov said, noting that they have begun planting other crops (potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cereals) as well.
