On Monday, May 28, Vice Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Tajikistan’s Parliament Nazira Gafforova received Finnish Ambassador to Tajikistan Tuula Jurela to discuss development of interparliamentary relations.

As reported to AP by press service of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Gafforova told Finnish Ambassador about parliamentary group for friendship and cooperation with the Finnish Parliament, which was set up this year, and expressed her confidence that the group will give a new impulse to the development of bilateral relations.

“Finnish Ambassador said she will do her best to improve bilateral relations in all spheres,” the source said.

According to the source, on May 28 head of the Lower Chamber’s Legislation and Human Rights Committee Mahmadali Vatanov met with the visiting UN Special Rapporteur Anand Grover.
