DUSHANBE, July 16, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Saturday July 14, new France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Didier Leroy presented a copy of his credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and France.

Tajik minister, in particular, touched upon issues related to attraction of investments in Tajikistan’s economy, educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries.  He also offered to consider and discuss the possibility of launching an air route between the capitals of the two countries with further flights to other countries of the Asian region.

In the course of the talks, Zarifi and Leroy also discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan and interaction between the two countries in supporting efforts of ISAF forces in Afghanistan.

They also considered issues related to construction of an international terminal at the Dushanbe airport, the source said.
