DUSHANBE, July 25, 2012, Asia-Plus — On Tuesday July 24, Tajikistan’s Main Military Prosecutor Khairullo Saidov was taken from Khorog, the administrative center of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region to Dushanbe, where he was put in one of local hospitals with various bodily injuries, a source at one of law enforcement agencies of the country told Asia-Plus today.

According to him, unidentified persons attacked Saidov in Khorog in the night of July 23 and beat him.

Khairullo Saidov was in Khorog as head of the group to investigate the murder of the chief of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office in Gorno Badakhshan, Abdullo Nazarov.
