DUSHANBE, September 15, 2012, Asia-Plus — the Asia-Plus’s page on the social network service Facebook is among the three most visited pages on Tajikistan.

Socialbakers.com notes that among the three most visited pages on Tajikistan are “Ya Journalist” (I Am Journalist) with 3,646 ‘likes,’ “Tcell” with 3,608 ‘likes,’ and Asia-Plus with little more than 3,000 ‘likes.’

According to Socialbakers.com, More than 1,000 people are discussing the Asia-Plus’s page.

We will recall that Internet access to Tajikistan’s leading independent news agency Asia-Plus has been cut off for the third time over the past three months.  For the last time, Tajik Internet providers blocked an access to the Asia-Plus website on August 1 following just another order from Beg Zuhurov, the head of the Communications Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

The communications service agency has again cited “technical reasons” for blocking access to the Asia-Plus website.

Several websites have been blocked since July 24, when the government forces launched a special operation in Khorog.

Representatives from the Communications Service have made it known that Internet access to the news agency Asia-Plus was cut off because of some materials posted on the website and some readers’ comments.

To get access to the Asia-Plus website, users in Tajikistan may use free anonymizers and proxy servers.

Besides, all publications (news, articles, video, and photos) posted on the Asia-Plus website are available in tablet and smartphone applications.

Reports of the Asia-Plus news agency are now available in tablet computer and smartphone applications.

One may subscribe to the Asia-Plus products through Google Media application via the

www.google.com/producer/editions/CAow693TAg/asia_plus

link.  All publications, including news, articles, video materials and photos, posted on the Asia-Plus website are now available in the applications.

The publications are available in three languages: Tajik; English; and Russian.

It is to be noted that blocking access to Asia-plus Internet inside the country does not affect the tablet and smartphone applications, and therefore, you do not need anonymizers to look through the website.  There is also special application for Nokia mobile phones.

The Russian version of application is available

here

and the English one is available

here

.  Both applications are installed free of charge.
