DUSHANBE, October 20, 212, Asia-Plus – On Friday October 19, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received credentials of Ambassadors of the United States (Mrs. Susan M. Elliott), Ukraine (Mr. Viktor Nikityuk) and the Netherlands (Mr. Van Leven Reter), the Tajik MFA information department reports.

Tajik leader congratulated them on the beginning of their diplomatic activities in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that that would give a new impulse to further development of relations between Tajikistan and their countries.

Following the ceremony, President Rahmon and the ambassadors discussed matters of mutual cooperation.

Tajik leader reportedly expressed satisfaction with the level of Tajikistan-U.S. relations in the sphere of politics and on providing security.

President Rahmon noted that Ukraine was an important partner of Tajikistan within the CIS area and pointed out a regular and dynamic expansion of bilateral economic and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine.

The Netherlands is one of the main trading partners of Tajikistan in Europe, Tajik leader stressed.  He expressed hope that that cooperation between Tajikistan and the Netherlands will continue expanding in the future in both bilateral format and within international organizations.
