Yesterday Emomali Rahmon opened a huge sport arena in Khujand. The construction was sponsored by a father of well-known Tajik wrestler Kamronshokh Ustopiriyen – three time world sambo champion and winner of multiple regional and international tournaments.

According to President’s press service, President met with local sportsmen and asked them to work hard and try to represent Tajikistan at future regional and international tournaments.

Tajik President took part in the opening of an ice rink with artificial ice which is located close to the Khujand Sport Arena “20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence”. The rink occupies an area of 1200 square meters and is 30x40m. The cost of the construction was 2.5 million Somoni.
