DUSHANBE, December 3, 2012, Asia-Plus — Russian company, Gazpromneft-Tajikistan, dominates the Tajik fuel market.
The company, which owns 24 refueling stations and four petroleum storage depots across Tajikistan, now reportedly accounts for 17 percent of the country’s fuel market.
According to Gazpromneft’s official site, the company also has 109 refueling stations and eight petroleum storage depots in Kyrgyzstan and retail sale of oil products has risen 77 percent there from 235,000 tons in 2010 to 416,000 tons.
In Kazakhstan, Gazpromneft’s retail oil sales have risen seven times over the past two years – from 24,000 tons in 2010 to 172,000 tons. The company plans to account for 6 percent of Kazakhstan’s fuel market by 2020.
