DUSHANBE, January 4, 2012, Asia-Plus — The Interior Ministry traffic police directorate has reportedly purchased 36 Renaults to train persons seeking driver’s licenses.
“All the cars are equipped with video and photo cameras and audio recording devices that record all traffic violations made by persons seeking driver’s licenses during the driving test,” chief of the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate, Major-General Mahmadsaid Saidov, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
“These cars fully eliminate interference of instructors during the driving test, and thereby, they help eradicate corruption,” the traffic police chief.
According to him, the traffic police directorate has spent some one million U.S. dollars for purchasing those cars.
