Toyota Tsusho opens its specialized center in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, January 10, 2013, Asia-Plus – Toyota Tsusho Corporation plans to open its specialized center in Dushanbe in April this year.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, Tajik Ambassador to Japan Ghulomjon Bobozoda met with top managers of Toyota Tsusho in Tokyo on January 8.

The sides reportedly discussed opportunities of opening a special center for selling and servicing Toyotas in Tajikistan.

The corporation has made decision to open its center in Dushanbe after a two-year negotiation process, the source said.

Based in Nagoya and Tokyo, Toyota Tsusho Corporation is a trading company, a member of the Toyota Group.  It is one of the largest trading companies in Japan, and the 6th largest in the world.  Toyota Tsusho has a worldwide presence through its many subsidiaries and operating divisions, including over 100 offices, and 500 subsidiaries and affiliates around the world.  Its main business is supporting Toyota Motor”s automobile business and other Toyota Group companies, but Toyota Tsusho”s business is very diverse, spanning industrial, commercial, and consumer sectors. Business areas run the gamut, including industrial raw materials, agricultural products, and high technology.  The company acquired Tomen Corporation, another Japanese trading company, on April 1, 2006.
