DUSHANBE, January 14, 2013, Asia-Plus — An agreement between Tajikistan and South Korea on abolishing visa requirements for holders of service and diplomatic passports has taken effect, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The sides reportedly exchanged official notes on completion of internal procedures on December 28, 2012 and the government-to-government agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea on abolishing visa requirements for holder of service and diplomatic passports took effect.
The Tajik MFA information department expresses confidence that this step will give a new impulse to further development of mutually beneficial relations between Dushanbe and Seoul.
We will recall that Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and his Korean counterpart Kim Sung-Hwan signed the government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and South Korea on mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of service and diplomatic passports in Seoul on July 5, 2012.
