DUSHANBE, January 15, 2013, Asia-Plus — Sozandagoni Vatan (Homeland Builders), which is the youth organization of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), will organize activities dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Tajik national army beginning on February 1.

“We will organize meetings of youth with veterans of war and representatives of the Ministry of Defense, a military and patriotic contest entitled “Homiyoni Vatan” (Defenders of Homeland) and will visit military units,” the Sozandagoni Vatan leader Adham Mirsaidov told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

The PDP created the Sozandagoni Vatan organization in 2011 and its founding conference took place on July 27, 2011.  The conference elected Adham Mirsaidov, formerly head of the PDP organizing department, chairman of the Sozandagoni Vatan organization.  The organization was registered with the Ministry of Justice in November 2011.

The main objective of the organization is in fostering a spirit of patriotism, devotion to ideas of national self-consciousness and independence of the country in the young generation.
