DUSHANBE, January 28, 2013, Asia-Plus  — On Sunday January 27, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries, the Tajik president’s official website reports.

In his message of congratulations, Tajik president, in particular, noted that “in political measure, bilateral relations between our countries are dynamically developing and a constant dialogue, based on the principles of openness and mutual confidence and support, has been established at the highest level.”

For his part, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that bilateral relations between the two countries had entered a qualitatively new stage and mutual interest existed in further development of interstate dialogue.
