Head of Sarband’s association of automobilists stands trial for exceeding powers, document forgery

QUGHON TEPPA, February 5, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Shamsullo Aminov, head of the Association of Automobilists of the city of Sarband, Khatlon province is standing trial for exceeding powers and document forgery.

Bakhtiyor Haidarov, a senior investigator with the Khatlon prosecutor’s office, says the preliminary investigation into Aminov’s case has been completed and the case has moved to the Sarband city court.

“Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Aminov and his subordinate Azim Javgarov under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 295 (1) – exceeding powers; and Article 340 (2) – document forgery,” the prosecutor said.

According to him, Aminov and Javgarov prepared a number of fake driving course certificates last year and sent them for registration to the Khatlon traffic police department.
