Dushanbe. February 8. “Asia-Plus” – The Tajik-Russian Agreement on the rules of stay of Tajik citizens in Russia was inked today in Moscow.
The document was signed by heads of migration services of the two countries – Safiallo Devonaev and Konstantin Romodanovsky, a spokesman for the Tajik Migration Service in Moscow Ibrohim Ahmadov reported to AP.
“The document allows Tajik citizens to stay in Russia without registering for a period of 15 days. Currently, Tajik citizens are obliged to register with the competent structures within 7 day period upon their arrival,” Mr.Ahmadov has said.
He also stressed that the newly inked agreement will come into force when all internal procedures are performed.
The two countries agreed to ink the agreement during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Tajikistan in October last year.
