Two TajikAir’s Mi-8 helicopters, which were arrested in Afghanistan many months ago, have been returned back to Tajikistan.
On February 11th Director General of the Tajik Air company Firuz Hamroev told the reporters that these helicopters will be used again when all required technical procedures are over.
“We were not told the details about this situation, but this question is in the competence of the Government of Afghanistan and the private company Supreme, which hired our helicopters and airplanes as well as airplanes of many other air companies,” he said.
Two TajikAir’s Mi-8 helicopters and 12 pilots who worked in Afghanistan were arrested and detained for a long period of time. The reasons of the detention were never made public.
