 Last weekend Tajik State National Security Committee’s Office in GBAO carried out special operation neutralizing armed Afghan drug smugglers on Ishkasheem section of Tajik-Afghan border.

According to SNSC, one armed citizen of Afghanistan was killed as a result of the operation. The other two have disappeared on the territory of the neighboring country.

“We have found one Kalashnikov with cartridges at the scene,” the committee has said, stressing that the operation was carried out in collaboration with Afghan special services.

Additionally, the committee reported that security officers have arrested a resident of Kabul on the territory of Khorog city for illicit cross of the border.
