DUSHANBE, February 20, 2013, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon has bestowed high-state awards on high-ranking military officers on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of formation of Tajikistan’s Armed Forces.
According to the president’s official website, the award ceremony took place on February 20 and the president bestowed high state awards and military ranks on more than 80 servicemen, including representatives of the country’s law enforcement and power-wielding structures.
Ministry of Defense, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev, was awarded the Second Degree Order “Sitorai Presidenti Tojikiston” (The Star of the President of Tajikistan).
Minister of Interior Ramazon Rahimov, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) Saymumin Yatimov, Commander of National Guards Rajabali Rahmonali and Commander of Border Troops Sherali Mirzo were awarded the Second Degree Order “Zarrintoj” (Golden Crown) each.
Chief of Border Guard Officers School Abdurahmon Azimov, Chief of the Main Directorate fro State Secrets Saydamir Zuhurov, Security Council Secretary Abdurahim Qahhorov, Chief of Sughd Military Registration Enlistment Department Azam Qosimov, SCNS Deputy Chief Abdulaziz Jalolov, First Deputy Minister of Justice Izatullo Sharipov as well as two retired generals Suhrob Qosimov and Saidsho Shamolov were awarded the First Degree Oder “Spitamen” each.
The military rank of Lieutenant-General was given to the head of the anticorruption agency Fattoh Saidov and the military rank of Major-General was given to his deputy Millopar Bandishoyev.
Besides, the military rank of Major-General was given to First Deputy Commander of National Guards Jonibek Aliyev, Deputy Commanders of National Guards Rajab Mahmadaliyev and Qiyomiddin Samarzoda, Deputy Commander of Border Troops Saydamir Odinayev, Chief of the GBAO Border Service Kholbash Kholbashev, Deputy Minister of Interior Abdullo Navzhuvanov, Commander of the Internal Troops Nematullo Qurbonov, Chief of the Interior Ministry’s Office in Dushanbe Abdurahmon Buzmakov, etc.
