DUSHANBE, June 30, 2013, Asia-Plus — The next 8th World Forum of the Tajik and Persian-speaking Peoples is expected to take place in Dushanbe from September 5 to September 10 this year.

A well-informed source in the Tajik government says representatives of Tajik Diasporas from post-Soviet states as well as Asia, Europe and America have been invited to attend the forum.

“This issue was a major topic of a government session that took place in Dushanbe on June 28,” the source added.

While in Tajikistan, the forum participants are expected to visit all the regions.  On September 9, they will meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the source said.

The first World Forum of the Tajik and Persian-speaking Peoples took place here on September 9, 1992.
