DUSHANBE, July 3, 2013, Asia-Plus – Press release issued by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company on July 2 notes that the company has celebrated the inauguration of its scale model of luxury residential units at Diar Dushanbe, an integrated community development project in Tajikistan.

Leading executives from Qatari Diar reportedly attended the inauguration ceremony along with numerous prominent representatives and public figures from Tajikistan.

Executives from Qatari Diar noted that the launch of Diar Dushanbe‘s residential scale model was a significant step towards the execution of this large scale venture in Tajikistan.  The purpose of the model is to conceptualize and deliver a comprehensive representation of the project’s components to potential clients.

Diar Dushanbe offers, for the first time in Tajikistan, luxurious residential buildings with a meticulous finish, readily available to the client upon completion; a network of fiber optics offering high speed ICT connectivity – considered to be the first of its kind; and advanced technological solutions that are environmentally friendly and promote energy conservation.

The Diar Dushanbe development project is the first investment made in Central Asia by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company.  It stretches across 68 thousand square meters, encompassing all the essential elements of residential luxury and modernity.  The development provides sports and leisure facilities, a shopping center, ample green spaces, landscaped gardens, and a waterfront promenade with views of the Hisor Canal overlooking Lake Kuli Javonon.

The development provides all-inclusive services with unique characteristics such as earthquake resistance, an advanced firefighting system, fire resistant doors, windows and walls, a security system, an innovative waste collection and filtration system, a day care centre, retail outlets, and Tajikistan’s first indoor ice skating rink.

Diar Dushanbe is the first mixed-use development to be built in Tajikistan to include numerous luxury residences, commercial buildings with retail and office space, a five-star hotel, and a first-class shopping mall designed according to top international standards.  Diar Dushanbe received a five-star award in May 2013 for being the top mixed-use development project from Asia Pacific Property Awards.

Qatari Diar and the Tajik government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in August 2011 paving the way for project initiation by appointing an international firm to undertake Phase 1 of construction.  Five local vendors were appointed to commence site planning, earthworks, utilities replacement, site fencing and construction.

Recently, 30 percent of the first phase of the development was accomplished, featuring a residential tower that comprises 67 units, an administrative building and a central piazza.

Wholly owned by the Qatar Investment Authority, Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company was established in December 2005 to support Qatar’s growing economy and to co-ordinate the country’s real estate development priorities.  Qatari Diar is currently developing or planning 49 projects in 29 countries around the world.
