President visits Rasht Valley

DUSHABE, September 25, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon began visit to the Rasht Valley Monday (September 25) morning.

According to the president’s official website, the main purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the area and inaugurate a number of new industrial and social facilities.

His visit is taking him to Rasht, Nourobod, Tojikobod, Jirgatol and Tavildara districts.

While in the Rasth district, the president reportedly attended a ceremony of an official opening of a dormitory for 200 students at the republic boarding school for orphans and children from vulnerable families.

In the Navobod settlement of the Rasht district, Emomali Rahmon inaugurated a new building of local police station and visited military unit # 051062 of the National Guard of Tajikistan.
