Tajikistan’s inflation for September 2013 stands at 0.3 percent

DUSHANBE, October 18, 2013, Asia-Plus – In Tajikistan, inflation for the first nine months of this year has stood at 2.8 percent, according to Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan. 

1.8 percent rise in prices of products of food industry has been reported in January-September and non-foodstuffs have risen in cost by 5.5 percent over the report period.      

In September, inflation stood at 0.3 percent.  Last month, non-foodstuffs rose in cost by 0.4 percent, while prices of products of food industry rose 0.6 percent.   

The government expects the year-end inflation to stand at 9.0 percent in 2013.

Last year, inflation stood at 6.4 percent, 2.9 percent lower than in 2011
