DUSHANBE, January 19, 2014, Asia-Plus – During 2013 an overall space of more than 975,000 square meters in residential buildings were made available in Tajikistan, according to the Committee for Construction and Architecture under the Government of Tajikistan. 

Residential buildings in the country were constructed mainly by entities of the non-governmental sector.

During the past year general educational schools to accommodate 15,500 pupils and hospitals with a total of 521 beds were put into operation, and polyclinics that can handle a total of more than 2,100 visits per shift were introduced.

“To-date, redevelopment plans for 36 cities and district administrative centers have been worked out,” an official source at the Committee for Construction and Architecture under the Government said.
