DUSHANBE, January 20, 2014, Asia-Plus — On Monday January 20, Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda received Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Igor Frolov-Lyakin.

Subhiddin Muhididnov, senior consultant at Tajik president’s press service, says the sides discussed issues related to the upcoming 12th meeting of the Tajik-Russian commission for trade and economic cooperation that will take place in Dushanbe from January 22-24 this year.

Rasoulzoda and Frolov-Lyakin reportedly expressed confidence the meeting will be held at a high level and it will give a new impulse to further expansion of the Tajik-Russian economic cooperation.

Co-chaired by Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, the commission is expected to discuss some 18 issues.  In parallel, a conference entitled “Russia-Tajikistan: Business Dialogue” will take place in the Tajik capital from January 22-23.
