KHUJAND, January 21, 2013, Asia-Plus — More than 130 million somoni (equivalent to more than 20 million USD) are expected to be spent this year for repairing roads in the northern Sughd province.

According to the Sughd regional administration, the funds will be allocated within the framework of the road rehabilitation program designed for 2014.

The main objective of this program is in improving conditions of roads, squares, and streets in cities and districts of the province, ensuring  safety of traffic, and improving environmental protection, the source said.
