DUSHANBE, March 13, 2014, Asia-Plus – Deputy Prime Minister, Azim Ibrohim, is currently in the northern city of Isfara to get acquainted with the current situation of the city’s industrial enterprises.

According to the Sughd regional administration, the main purpose of the visit for the deputy prime minister is to inspect operational readiness of the Isfara hydrometallurgical plant, which has stood idle for more than 15 years.

“The plant is expected to be reintroduced into operation in April,” an official source at the Sughd regional administration told Asia-Plus in an interview.

While in Isfara, Azim Ibrohim will also get acquainted with activities of local chemical plant and cannery.

The deputy prime minister will also get acquainted with work of the private sector in Isfara, the source added.
