DUSHANBE, March 14, 2014, Asia-Plus — A meeting of a working group comprising representatives of the Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan (DCA) and Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) was held in Dushanbe yesterday.

According to the DCA press center, representatives from Tajikistan’s Security Council, Ministry of Defense, Interior Ministry, State Committee for National Security, Main Border Guard Directorate, and Customs Service also attended the meeting.  

The meeting participants reportedly discussed preparations for local anti-drug action, dubbed “Yuzhny Kapkan” (Southern Trap), which will be carry out as part of the regional anti-drug operation “Kanal” (Channel).
