DUSHANBE, March 17, 2014, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe police have reportedly solved a double slaying that was committed in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district on the night of March14-15.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, a 40-year-old resident of Dushanbe, Dmitry Korich, who has previous conviction for murder, and a 40-year-old resident of Vahdat, Dmitry Chaikin, who has previous convictions for theft and murder, have been detained on suspicion of having committed that crime.

The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that they came to home of Ashourali Akobirov, 54, on the night of March 14-15 for alcohol drinks.  Following quarrel, they stabbed Ashourali Akobirov and his 13-year-son Jovidon to death.

The criminals also inflicted eight stab wounds on a 55-year-old tenant, Ms. Karomat Soliyeva, and then set fire to the house.

Ms. Soliyeva is currently in a hospital.
