IRPT Political Council considers Adalatov’s Detention Planned Action Against the Party

Asia-Plus

The High Political Council of the Islamic Revival Party sees another planned action against the Party in the detention of the Party chief in Badakhshan Province.

IRPT notes in its statement that it is not a secret that IRPT members and Party supporters are under constant threat of libel, and the incident with Saadatshah Adalatov is no exception.

The statement notes: “Already many times various state bodies are using pressure and threats against Adalatov, publishing false rumors in order to distance from his party activities. Proof to is publication in local newspaper, in the government-run

Jumhouriyat

newspaper, and a news piece in the government-run Khavar news agency about his arrest on charges of “incitement to religious hatred.

“It should be noted that the authorities on several occasions demanded that he stops his work in the Party, otherwise they promised to deliver unpleasant “moments” to him and to his relatives. However, Adalatov put his party activities above this.”

It is also noted in the statement that on April 15 the Party chief in Isfara, Abdumannan Sadiqov, was also detained on suspicion of attempting to bribe. The Political Council is certain that the incident was organized and Mr. Sadiqov was provoked to give a bribe to a police officer. The statement notes: “Sadiqov was invited by Mahmoud Sharifov, Soghd Province police officer, in order to discuss legal shortcomings. During the conversation, the latter advised the aforementioned 2.5 thousand Russian Rubles to the Head of Isfara police, Salim Ataev.”

The IRPT political council considers the created unhealthy atmosphere as threatening to security and tranquility, which will lead to an increase in people’s lack of trust towards civil servants. Therefore, the IRPT Political Council requests the country’s leadership to stop the tendency of legal violations and unjust actions.
