 Today the lower house of parliament of Tajikistan supported unanimously and without any debate the President’s proposal on making amendments to the law of the country “On Ombudsman of the Republic of Tajikistan.” As noted in his speech MP Akramsho Felaliev, according the amendment the Ombudsman is empowered to protect the right of citizens of the country for access to information. Meantime, today Ombudsman of Tajikistan Zarif Alizoda who was appointed to this position for a second term by the President of Tajikistan, made an oath in the presence of MPs of the lower house of parliament of the country. Ombudsman noted in his oath that he will continue to protect rights and freedoms of the citizens of Tajikistan.
