DUSHANBE, May 28, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan and Bahrain are expected to sign eight cooperation documents.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the agreements will cover cooperation between the two countries in the areas such as taxation, investment, air communication, health care, culture, and tourism.
We will recall that Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon started an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sharif Rahimzoda, Minister of Finance Abdusalom Qurbonov, Minister of Culture Shamsiddin Orumbekov, Minister of Health and Social Protection Nusratullo Salimzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs Maliksho Nematov and the presidential adviser on foreign policy, Erkinkhon Rahmatullozoda, are accompanying Rahmon on his visit to Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Tajik leader was received on arrival at Bahrain International Airport by Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Works Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, Muharraq Governor and non-resident Tajik Ambassador to Bahrain. A mission of honor headed by Works Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf has been set up to accompany the Tajik leader.
During the visit, President Rahmon will hold talks with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on bilateral relations and means of bolstering joint cooperation.
Emomali Rahmon is also scheduled to hold talks with speakers of both chambers of Bahrain’s parliament and top managers of Banhrain’s largest banks.
On the sidelines of the visit, a conference of representatives of the business communities of the two countries will be held.
